The middle school book club met this week to discuss award winning Seedfolks, written by Paul Fleischman and illustrated by Judy Pedersen. A diverse cast of characters living on Gibb Street in Cleveland, Ohio, tells the story, each of them from a different ethnic group. We hold book club on the second Tuesday of each month. All middle school students are welcome to attend!
Our sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students recently attended the production of William Shakespeare's As You Like It. Our students had a wonderful time traveling to the American Player's Theatre in Spring Green, Wisconsin, to watch the production.
Our seventh grade volleyball team recently had the opportunity to help at a Wisconsin Badgers Women's Volleyball game! Our seventh grade team participated as the floor crew and ball girls for a recent match. They had a great time! Thank you, Wisconsin Badgers Women's Volleyball, for a great experience!
For our school service project in October, our students will team up with a group of peers and develop a plan to decorate a small to medium sized pumpkin. Students will not carve the pumpkins. We are encouraging our students to be creative when planning how to decorate with their team. We are also encouraging each class to decide who the recipients of their pumpkins will be and deliver it to them. We will be identifying people who are in need of some “good.” We hope to be the "good" by spreading joy with our pumpkins!
Find the good. Be the good. Spread the good.
